I read the defense by Gilead was that the old SOC of Interferon and ribavirin was $60,000 but that is wrong. It is closer to $30, 000

I have heard 80 to 100 thousand is a real typical price range for cutting edge R&D pharmaceuticals.

The controversy gets raised now because it is also a life saving drug.

We aren't talking boners and cholesterol here.

Add inflation to past breakthrough drugs and the price bobbles upwards of 80,000

Give the CEO's their bonuses and .....presto!
