This thursday will be a month since they found out my viral load had shot back up(bad) yet even though it only takes a week to get my 2x bloods I have waited a month.
During this time I have never felt so ill Paranoid,sick,tired, stomach trouble and sores appearing all over me.
Also my nerves have been so bad I have thought of going to hospital but talked myself out of it!
So 23rd I am going to tell the consultant I want something done as I am sick of being passed on in the health service as I am ex alcoholic/drug addict. Hep c +b Is no life at the moment.
Before I started this tx I could ride my mountain bike/ no breath for that now, I loved walking /no breath for that.
Worse than the disease is this 'CURE'?????????????????????????????????????

you betcha buddy, i am one that had no symptoms before tx(or so i though at the time). i never imagined the nightmare i was in for on tx. i was told flu like symptoms. well, yes but they didn't tell me it would be like the worse flu ever to hit the planet and that it would last for the whole duration of tx.

i don't know how i got through it but i knew i was not going to stop. there was no way i would ever to that to myself again so i stuck it out.

what would have made it worse is the insensitivity that a lot of you have experienced during tx. it is unacceptable behavior from the health care profession.

you hang in there djharg. don't let them get to you.

yes it is hard but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. just think how good you will feel if you beat this and it will all be behind you! hang in there! you are not alone and everyone here can relate! I only stopped tx because I had adverse reactions and had to be taken off.other wise I would have stayed the course.

I agree, this is the toughest thing that I ever had to battle in my entire life. But so worth it to me. I'm a non responder but TX did my liver good. I'll do it again when the time is right. Right now I have grandchildren that I don't want to miss out on (not even for a minute) In a few years I'll try again. I want to be around for a long time. This disease can't have me. You hand in there. Look for that light at the end of the tunnel, it's there and you get there soon.

Dj, I haven't had the "opportunity/privilege" to start TX so have nothing to offer except my eyes, ears, & heart.
Please post when its getting to you. Seems many here can relate to your symptoms.
I'm just tired, depressed, listless, rotating pains. Nothing like your experience. I'm not on TX.
