Interesting, thanks for posting. A few comments-

It would be interesting to see how these stats compared to the non-cirrhotic population, since with no point of comparison, stats are not very meaningful, at least not to me.

The article stated "... cirrhotic experienced patients without predictors of severe complications clearly should be treated, but cautiously and carefully monitored,", that's encouraging if it were to be trusted, but then the doctor who conducted the study is getting paid by the pharma co's so who knows???? (sigh)

Well, I'll be going over our plan of treatment with my doctor in mid January. He's already told me I will probably be trying the triple, and since I've had a transplant and they think I have advanced to Cirrhosis in my new liver, the concern of the effect of the tx on my anti-rejection drugs is very unsettling to me. But I know that The Lord and my medical team will lead me in the right direction and that I also will have the peace I'm praying for when the time comes.

If they are going to closely monitor me, they will have to be easier for me to contact than they have been so far. I have to go through my transplant coordinator who calls me back or emails me usually in 2 or 3 days after I've left her a message. And as much as I like my doctors, they are hard to reach "in person". Surely when I'm on treatments, that will change (??)

Thanks Kram,My good friend just finished triple TX a month ago.He was stage 4 cirrhosis.He was giving a very low chance of clearing.He was facing, either try treatment or he would be going on a liver transplant list.He chose to do treatment.He did 48 weeks.I am happy to say he is still undetectable after one month of finishing triple.

Sorry Kramer didnt meat to rain on your parade. Someone ask me what the truth was about it all and I thought it was you. I have been studoing about it for over 30 years. But ya know I could still be wrong I hope I am. Sorry

Thanks Dreamkite. It's hardly a parade, more a strategy for survival until 2014 when we all can get treatment.
I need positive people with positive energy and a hand to lend to get me there. No time for unwarranted negativity or being bashed about the head. Again I wish you well. I wish us all well!
