Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

About week 3 I started with some achy feeling but nothing that slowed me down. I just took naps in the afternoon. I was still able to work and take care of this kids, not a problem.
Then about 10 weeks into treatment I was sick for about 4 days (not sure if it was the flu or from the meds but it wasn't fun at all).
On the 5th day I woke up and felt better than I ever have in my life and have been going strong ever since.
I have 7 more weeks on treatment but right now it feels no different than taking vitamins every day. It's amazing. Stat positive, it helps!
It is my PESONAL opinion that makes a great difference.
I can tell just by the way my lab reports changed....Age does make a difference!!
Our complaints will be greater than a younger body....you have that going for you!!
Good luck and try NOT to have the fear - stay positive.....I had to go into what I call "Happy Mode" and quit thinking and talking about this tx for a while and it helped me a lot.

How long will be on tx?
