I'm about finished with week 8 (of 12) of Sovaldi + Olysio. I didn't have "the fatigue" until very recently, but I sure do now. I am either awake and tired or sleeping soundly and often. I've endured a rough headache since week 3, but that seems to be calming down now, and the fatigue has set in. I thought I'd feel just super on these meds the whole way through; some do. As long as this heavy fatigue (and the HA) are side effects of the meds, whatever. Four more weeks to go; I too will be glad to finish tx, although it is a breeze compared to the stories I've read about the old SOC and triple "terror." Sleep away, kathy - I'm sleeping about 12 hours a day at least now. We're doing heavy duty meds.

Are you sleeping well Kathy? Riba gave me terrible insomnia so i was dragging all day and nodding off.

On Solvaldi & Olysio I was also more tired than normal but just slept more, like Cat. Hang in...counting DAYS now, not weeks!! With both tx, the sides left very quickly after stopping....like a week.

Sleep is a problem. I take Benadryl most nights. I've had anemia since week 4. When this is all said and done I'll need a new recliner, because I've worn mine out. Ha...
Cat, this is my third time with tx- the last two were interferon, the combo. This is a cake walk in comparison. We are very fortunate with all the new meds here and on the horizon.
I'll be done with tx a couple of days before my 60th birthday. Oh what a gift.

Honestly, I think part of my own Riba/Solvaldi exhaustion every day is that I am not sleeping soundly at night. I must be up every couple of hours to pee and drink water, and/or because I have woke up sweating from bizarre dreams and nightmares that are complete distortions of my reality. I actually wake up in a mild panic attack with heart racing and dizziness and sweating and nausea. Who rests well if their brain is making movies all night?

I am typically a 6 hour a night sleeper anyway, and then go, go, go..do, do, do.. This is kicking my ass too. LOL.

Hang in there Kathy!! Just a little bit longer to go! And yes... reward yourself with a new deluxe cushy recliner with massage and heat and leather! You deserve to be able to chill out there in your UNDIES and celebrate. ;-)

I've woken up with the sweats during this tx, but this latest development of anxiety-inducing dreams is something else. I'm back on Ativan to hopefully allow me to sleep without the very weird dreams. Wanna laugh? Last night it was all about Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) - it went on and on and on and got stranger and more stressful. At one point we were caught under a huge parachute and I couldn't breathe. He was unable to eat - someone had to put some weird machine over his mouth, but he couldn't manage a cheeseburger. OMG. I do think these dreams are meds related because I'm sleeping SO much. And I'm not even on Riba! 4 weeks and 2 days of S&O to go.

So many nearing the end of tx. I read only 12 days to go & can't help but think only 6 mo. to go before I get to start. I've never been a vivid dreamer so it will also be interesting to see if that is something I experience when I finally get my meds. So happy y'all are nearing the end & will be getting a new lease on life with SVR.

I guess dreaming about Robert Plant isn't so bad - lol - but it was this series of crises going on that made me so anxious I woke up feeling like I was on the verge of a panic attack - hyperventilating even. I think I'll program my brain to dream about walking in the forest in autumn, something we have neither of here (forest or autumn). I do tend to have vivid and colorful dreams, but that scenario last night was way too much. At least I'm sleeping - no insomnia for me on this tx - yet - but I don't see it happening.

Six more months to go for you, aal. Relax in the fact that you will be getting the BEST tx out there - no genetic morphism issues or anything of that nature that I know of, and I followed people on Sova/Led trials all last year.

OMG. Panic attack is right! It MUST be the meds... I am almost hyperventilating, and it's nto even that teh dreams are all that scary.. just strange.. which makes that "waking up feeling" all the more freaky. I can do without that mess. But glad to know it's not just me.. Since you are not on Riba, it must be the Sovaldi as that is what we have in common. These meds must be more heavy duty than they seem..

Just thought I'd ad -- I'd like to have a bizarre dream about Robert Plant, but mine would be TOTALLY DIFFERENT than a mouthpiece and a parachute - wink wink- and with a 1970s era Robert Plant. LOL.

Part of the dream was definitely wanting to "hook up" with him - and he did look like he did when I saw him as a 19 year old rock god in 1969 then again in 1971, NOT how he looks now (he has not aged well). Hmmm - I could handle a dream about Johnny Depp too! Just that these dreams get so complicated and stressful. Right, not scary dreams just WEIRD and over the top. Wake up freaking out and hard to breathe. I WILL take an Ativan before I go to bed tonight. So it's either the Sovaldi, or maybe the upcoming first of four BLOOD MOONS, ya think? :)
