Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

Celebrating the Legendary Leather Nun, Tawn Mastrey Beginning on the West Coast, Tawn Mastrey was a Veteran Rock Radio Disc Jockey for over 30 years with 5 million fans around the world. She helped launch and promote hundreds of the best rock and metal bands in the world. It was important for her to inform everyone to get tested for Hepatitis C, the disease that eventually took her life. Tawn Mastrey Foundation is carrying out her wishes.

I used to listen to a Swedish rock band called the Leather Nun when I was in college, not sure this is the same thing. BTW shouldn't your name be ImFrank?

Tawn Mastrey, a well-regarded heavy-metal disc jockey who built her reputation in the late 1980s at KNAC-FM when the radio station was the official outlet for the then-thriving metal scene in Los Angeles, has died. She was 53.
Ms. Mastrey died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis from the effects of hepatitis C, her sister, Cara Mastrey, said. Tawn Mastrey had contracted the disease as a child.
