Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I want to get a tattoo again but not sure how it works. Do I tell them about the hep c? When I got my last one it took a lot of phone calls to find someone to do it for me. Don't really want that hassle again. But I don't want to put anyone else at risk. The way I see my dentist has more chance getting it. What do you guys think. Keep in mind this is a very up scale tattoo shop, very clean. I have checked it out.

First, I think it's the right thing to do, even though they take precautions. If they act strange (no one has), I would never see them again.
Secondly, accidents do happen, no matter how careful they might be. Knowing they might have been exposed increases the chance they will get tested. If they do test positive, the chance for success in treatment increases the earlier you catch the virus. Of course the new drugs may change that, but they haven't been released yet.
Just my opinion, do what's right for you.
