Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Most of you know, our very own Theresa (Tasmoe), well her Daddy is in great need of our prayers, at this time.
As you know, he is very sick with liver disease, and tasmoe is caring for him since forever, and now is trying to get the proper help for her father.
So please pray for his rehabilitation.

The doctor was going to just send daddy home the other day because he refused to eat or drink.
I had her come into his room and stand beside me while I told daddy how the cow IS going to eat the cabbage and let him know that there is no way Mike and I either one would be able to take care of him. His left side stopped working and he can't left himself out of bed.
The doctor keeps lookin' at my feet, ankles and legs and is amazed I can even walk. Don't understand why she'd suggest sending him home knowing I'm pretty sick myself. But...I'm beyond understanding much of anything these days.
Anyways, the liason talked to the doctor and she called me yesterday and said she'd really stuck her neck out in a meeting about daddy and they are going to take him at St. David's...for just 10 days to see how it will work out. But...that gives me 10 days to get a hospital bed, a potty chair and all the others things I'm overwhelmed with in order to bring him home.
My brother said,"Just put him in a nursing home and forget about him."
My daughter said,"Mom, grandad is 82 years old. He has cirrohsis(sp) of the liver, he has melanoma all over his body, his prostrate cancer has come back. He's tired. Let him do what he wants to do."
I said,"Ok, I'll bring him home and let him sit out under the oak trees and on the 4th of July I'll take him out in a boat and we'll watch the fireworks over Lake Travis and then I'll take him to eat all the crawfish, froglegs, shrimp, raw oysters and steak he wants." But, I'm not going to just throw him away somewhere and try to pretend that I didn't have a father. No ma'am.
Just another ghost in the machine is the way I see it.
My God, Vick has come to see daddy more than anyone else in my family has. Actually, Jammie has came twice, Vick twice, my nephew once, and EllieMae & Bob once.
Seems I got more family here than in the genetic pool.
I'm so grateful for all of you.
Now...to the hospital. Drink your water daddy!

I've just asked to be removed from DS but have come to enjoy your kind heart and all the others I've met here.
At this point it my life I have to deal with other personal issues but I will remember each of you and this site!
I'll keep you all in my prayers. Thank you all for your very warm welcome!
