Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I don't smoke it as we all know the toxins in any inhaled smoke the liver has to deal with the. Edibles and vaporizing for me ...in moderation :^)
Kramer, thanks for the post !
I'm still eagerly awaiting the study that shows alcohol reverses fibrosis...
there are sadly few studies and different medical opinions about it. This one was conducted on coinfected but I can't see how removing the AIDS virus would increase chances of fibrosis for mono infected HCV population.
the median baseline consumption was 7 joints a week. Using a vaporizer with no toxic smoke/particulate for the liver to deal with and the fact that my consumption while using a vaporizer is about 2 joints a week, I feel it's becoming more and more obvious that it is relatively safe to do.
I suppose that is why there are different medical opinions from the medical professionals.
I could be wrong but feel comfortable basing my risk as low on the findings of this study.
I have never heard of someone overdosed and died on MJ, got liver failure , or lung cancer like from cigarettes, but still it is an illicit Drug in the classifications. Alcohol just as bad as heroin, you pass out on it just like when you inject. Many people freezes to death drunk on the streets winter time. And still no one jails you for using it as a hazardous substance..
Yeah would be in the the new cops arrested the dude with a case of beer in the trunk of his car. Because to drink yourself to death is legal, and the money the gov making on in the process in the form of tax is a blessing for the gov coffers.
