There are several others here who are GT 3 and on Sovaldi & Riba.
So far I have found emotional ups and downs, some irritability, and some fatigue. I cannot maintain anything like the same levels of activity in my mountain biking and gym work, but if a lower level is achievable, I am good with that :) Other than that, a couple of days so far have been a bit crappy feeling, but nothing too overwhelming.
If your kid is not too demanding, you should be fine I would hope! It can be trying for partners, however, since their needs may not be being met in the same way as they are used to... That can become a trial, but my wife and I are talking things thru if they blow up at all, and that is helping a lot.
Best of luck, and let us know how things progress!
MTC good luck with your treatment. Would like to "compare notes" as we progress. I don't have an official start date but I figure by the 9th of June I should be starting. Either way good luck!
Rocker since you are a couple of weeks ahead so would like to hear your SX if any...good luck as you move forward.
possibly tx naive.
I am also Geno 3a in for 24 weeks.
I ran into some problems with hemoglobin so he reduced Riba to 600 mg, and at 4 week Viral Load went from over 1 million 500 thousand something to 12!!
You will be amazed at how much is attributed to the Hep C that you never even thought about - it only gets worse, so go for it!!
As long as you tell him the medication will make you better once you finish it all, he will handle it a lot easier.
I have adult children, and the look on their faces when I told them about the Hep C (thought downplayed) was scary.,,,,They needed to know I will be okay - so I think it is better to level with a child (you don't have to mention the Hep C), but find the words that he will understand and not tell the whole neighborhood (if that is what you prefer)
Good Luck!! I am sure you will do fine!!
I was so excited so ready to start treatment but the week leading up to the actual start, I went out and got all nervous and emotional. It us scary. No doubt. But I think you will find that you will survive. RIBA is no cakewalk but it us very doable. You and I are the fortunate ones. So many of our friends on here had yo do it for 48 weeks and dome find it twice. So 12-24 weeks ain't nothing. You can do thus and your son will be fine. You will not ignore him. We are here for you.
