YUP! I read this before beginning tx. What it tells me is that Gilead does not know the side effects of Sovaldi ALONE.

It's like trying to break out IFN and Riba sides ..hard to do cause they have always been bundled together.

I read this when Solvadi was approved. Totally agree with you WG. Sides will be lumped together with whatever other drugs are taken with Solvaid as it is not a mono therapy tx.

I've done IFN/riba alone & then with Teleprevir (Incivek) so I was able to determine which sides were solely attributed to Incivek. I will be able to determine what side effects Solvadi & Ledispavir have as well & compare how I feel on the new IFN/riba free combo vs the older therapies I've done. It's going to be an entirely new exp. for me.

The little 1-pagers I got for both Sovaldi and Olysio aren't clear about side effects. I guess there never will data on each of these drugs separately since neither can be used as monotherapy. I am just figuring at this point that the headache and fatigue are from one or both of the two, and the flu stuff is not. If I asked my nurse about the flu-like symptoms, she would tell me, "it's possible". So unless our labs during tx show a marked change, it's all guess work. Even then, which drug is doing it or is it both combined? Yup, Kramer, it's all about "bundling" - and very new drugs out here now.
