Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
We've been hearing "right around the corner" & "next year" for so long. Meanwhile tests show I am falling apart!

I have the same concerns that you mentioned, but I think the problems will be sorted out fairly quickly...and the sooner this drug is approved, the sooner that sorting out process can take place. So it's still good news, even if in a guarded way.
It's a good plan to keep looking for a trial, though.

GM, you too hang in there. Slow moving and you are young. I understand, everyone with this F'ing disease is desperate.
I believe the main problem is how to pay for it and how the insurance is going to react along with Medicare. But I believe in protesting and we can certainly hit the streets if need be--haunt our senators/legislators!
