Which treatment are you doing?
I was tested at wk 4 and wk 24. There's always a chance for you to be undie at wk 24. They tested you at week 12 & you were 27,000? That seems high for wk 12, but doesn't mean you won't be undie at 24.
I've been slightly constipated at times, but in the beginning of tx (incivek) not constipated AT ALL, if you get my drift. I'm at wk 34 now, and things aren't the way they should be (bowel-wise lol) but not too bad either.

My starting VL varied from 7M to 20M, and I've had this since 1969

I went undie at week 8 and stayed that way

An important piece of information is whether you have even gotten hcv treatment and failed before. If so, and you are undie at week 24, then I believe you will stay on triple till week 36, and then another 12 weeks of inf+riba

i did get occasionally constipated, but found taking fiber pills really helped

Hi Joe thanks for the response this is my third kick at the cat once back inin mid 90's 3 shots a wk and 2010 did 30 wks,I have never been undie ,my viral load to start this time was 900,00o ,back in 2010 to start it was 14.6 .At wk 8 this time I was 2000 then up to 27.00o at wk 12 blood is being tested currently from wk 20 ,I feel I should have cleared by now ,and am thinking of stopping .Best Regards Don

i also did the 3 shots/week routine, went undie, and jumped back up as soon as i quit treatment. then my second attempt was pegylated inf, once a week+riba, and never went undie

i don't want to depress you but i can't imagine how your vl rising during treatment can be a good thing, but the week 24 test is the next important milestone. if you're undie, you're good to keep going. if not, the doc will stop you

i hope your week 20 is good, but even if not undie i'd try to go to 24. i gotta believe that the studies showed some importance in 24, not 20, and by the time you get your results week 24 is only 3 weeks away

And I put a tsp of benefiber in my coffee every day. I recently switched to a generic brand, and it seems to be ok.

Hi My Fellow Canadian. I am on victrllis as well and have had a very bad time with constipation. Nothing seems to work. I was undie at week 8 & 12 with full expectations to be undie at week 24. The labs screwed up at week 24 and I had do get to test redone. By the time I received those results back I was at week 28 ( I think) and it came back detectabele but only by the bare minimum, so the decided to do the test once again to be on the safe side. I had that done about 1 1/2 weeks ago and I am waiting to fine out the results. If detectable I will be taken off the meds and be classed as OH Crap brain fog I can't remember what point was even. Wish I could have been more help. Maybe you will get something out of this mess of a story.

Donald I sure wish I could help but ya know wnhat they say if you havent been though it dont talk about it that is why I never answered questions about TX. I am sorry sure wish I could help. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if your VL is over 100 at week 12 you should discontinue tx.

Call your doctor and VIctrelis immediately. I have no idea why they kept you on tx after 12 weeks unless I'm missing something.

"TREATMENT FUTILITY: If the patient has HCV-RNA results 100 IU/mL at Treatment Week 12, then discontinue 3-medicine regimen."
