I am not the one to answer your questions on values. However your last question was should you treat. My opinion is that anyone with hep c should treat. Now the next question is should you treat now or wait?
Again, just my opinion: you stated you have virtually no damage to your liver and. It even any fibrosis. I was similar and waited till Sovaldi came out. I never treated before so being a genotype 1 I had to do interferon and Ribavirin along with Sovaldi. The inf and RIBA are horrid. Wait on at least the next group of drugs that are about to be approved. Those new drugs with Sovaldi have virtually no side effects. Just avoid Inteferon and RIBA if at all possible.

Your genotype will effect what drug combo you would be described.

There is no correlation between viral load and destuctive activity of virus. You can nave a very high viral load and no lier damage or a very low viral load and a very active virus destroying your liver.
The only viral load that matters is not having one once you start treatment.
To treat now or not depends on the state of your liver.
If there is little damage you have the luxury of time to wait for better drugs, etc. If you are high fibrotic time is running out!

Thank you both for your comments. I will not do any treatment with interferon for sure. I have depression and already have a psychistrist evaluation report stating I shouldn't be treated with such. I see my hepatologist the 25th of this month so I was thinking if she does want me to consider treatment I would like to ask about the one that is supposed to be approved Oct. 10th-Solvadi/Ledipasvir. My previous GI dr. suggested just Solvaldi but I have genotype 1a and I don't think that type is to be treated with the Solvaldi alone. Since my liver is fine now I don't see a big rush to get treated right now but I'd rather do it over the winter months. A yr. and a half ago my viral load was 118,000 so it increased by about 9 times so it might be wise for me to go ahead and do the treatment now.

I have not heard of sovaldi being prescribed as a solo tx. That's interesting as it has never been considered as a monotherapy..maybe in trials..but this isn't the first time I've heard of it.

i think your math is off 118.000 into 10, 927,212 is about 90 times

I'm thinking perhaps you misunderstood your doc??? Yes, you can do Sovaldi without interferon but WITH either Ledipasvir or Olysio, or Riba.
With your depression history, I'd try to skip the Riba, too, if possible.

Many of us have been in the MILLIONS! I myself have and I have very minimal fibrosis considering I HAD hcv ore than 45 years.

VL is like a numeric grade in a pass fail grade. The only number that matters is NONE

The dr. who suggested Solvaldi as a treatment for me is no longer my dr. but in her defense maybe I misunderstood her. I was just going by what she wrote down on a piece of paper. She only had "solvaldi" written down and nothing else. Regardless, she is no longer in charge of my care. And I apologize if I made a mathematical error. I didn't realize it was of the utmost importance to be so precise. I guess I'm not as good as doing math in my head as I used to be.

I have posted this before but it is worth repeating. A very wise oncologist said this - There are medical emergencies and there are psychological emergencies. It would be to your advantage to take your time, to do your homework and make a decision based upon knowledge and not fear. I have cirrhosis, but feel good. I will treat, but not sure which drugs. My doctor is waiting on more statistics to become available. Several new drugs will hit the market before the end of the year with some amazing cure rates.
