just spent the last 3 days in bed everything I did sapped up all my energy, could not even walk up a flight of stairs so I reduced the Riva without Drs consult feel better today, will see my Dr tmrw. hopefully she will have my viral load results.. feels like my body is in battle mode..
I really hate doing things without drs consult but I have no way of connecting with Dr. My insurance would no longer cover my old dr so in middle of tx I was transferred to a new clinic and given a new Dr.. my old dr. was always a text away this one lord I can't even get in touch with the floor nurse.. anyway guys keep me in prayer tmrw is the first of many important outcomes....

Prayers for you Clovers. Riba is one mean med & I hope your doc is ok with you lowering the dose. Anemia will sap all of your energy & it can require rescue meds as well. You really need to reach your new doc & explain how you are feeling & that you reduced the Riba. I don't know if all docs respond the same way to non-compliance but my doc said if I couldn't tolerate it or if I missed doses multiple times he would pull me off tx completely. A lot of people have done well on lowered doses but your doc needs to know. Thinking of you & hoping you have a better days ahead with a VL that shows the meds are working.

This insurance crap is making me nuts that we are all controlled
by what THEY say....

The mental stress is awful (besides what our bodies are taking.
Prayers do help and I am trying to keep remembering it is in God's hands, but we do need prayers as they can change anything...

Since you are seeing your doc tomorrow - MAYBE fudge it a bit??? tell him how you were feeling and that you were so exhausted you FORGOT to take one dose (?) and you noticed it made you a lot better???

He can't get mad at you for an accident and MIGHT not like you talking matters into your own hands intentionally. Just something to possibly consider??? A little white lie or stretch of the truth. How about 'the dog ate it"? tee hee :-) LOL

6 riba a day got me a little too edgy after about 10 weeks . docs said the riba was such a small part of the equation with triple meds that i could stop them that late in the game but they left it to me . screw it i ate em . they are some ornery bastards ( riba ) ..
i lived on chicken livers about 4-5 times a week and never had an iron defeciency or anemia .
i wasnt eating them for the iron value . theyre just cheap and i like em ..

Feel the same way and it crossed my mind to ask if anyone has been dosed 400mg of riba per day, thinking 400 should be gentler than 600.
Seeing a new Dr next week. I don't want lower dose, I want to end this treatment. I'll be at wk 12, I'm sure he'll order labs. Will try to bite the bullet till results return.
Ribavarin does not agree with me, it kicks me around like a soccer ball. Breathless walking from one room to another or talking on the phone.

ive got 2 bottles of riba left over . i oughtta bust em up and sell em to crackheads . little clowns wanna get their froth on -- snort this . lol ..
i donno but after infergen daily the air force could use me for missile practice and i wouldnt bat an eye . that shit put me on the floor of the va stress unit babbling like charlie manson . i still never quit , they had to pry em outta my seized up hands ..
