I have heard if some people w genotype 1 doing the sovaldi/ olysio treatment. I am supposed to start the ribavirin/sovaldi treatment soon. Does anyone know if they have a ribavirin free treatment coming soon for genotype 2b?

One thing I found, and I am sure there is more, is this chart:

You have to scroll down til you see a blue colored chart. You can zoom in real big to see it better. It lists the genotypes and the one med on the left plus the med on the far right, if that makes sense. Looks like Sofo by itself is 60%. Sofo plus Riba (100%). Or, Sofo plus Dac plus OR minus Riba (88%-100%).

Nothing on Riba free tx for 2b anytime soon. Recommended regimen for treatment-naive is the same as retreatment for non-responders & relapsed patients with HCV geno 2 which is daily Solvadi 400 mg. & weight-based RBV 1,000-1,200 mg for 12 wks. Olysio is not recommended for your genotype. Solvadi/Riba boasts a 94% success rate for 2b. ISo much easier than IFN/Riba options & a lot less time. It's doable & a virtual cure.

I'm on the Riba, 1000 mg per day with Sovaldi for 12 weeks. It's manageable. I am GT 2a or 2c with F2 fibrosis score.
