My Riba was in 200 mg per pill. i started with 1200 mgs. can't remember if i took it 2 or 3 times a day. When I got anemic and shortness of breath, the dose was reduced to 600mg, in two doses a day.

Your doctor will likely instruct you how you are to take your meds.

The doctor will adjust your dose if you become anemic- as determined by your labs- or suffer severe sides, and new script will come from pharmacy in new dose.

I took the bigger dose first thing in the a.m. about 7:30 and the smaller dose at about 5:00 pm to help lessen insomia.

I am on 1000 too and my doc told me to take it all at once in the morning, based on new research results and the extremely long half life of Riba.

When on SOC in a prior life, I took 1400 with 800 in the a.m. and 600 at night spaced 12 hours apart.

I am on 1200 mg Ribavirin , 600 mgs 2 times a day. The splitting up I do is only by ONE 200 mgs pill each dose. I take that last 200 mg pill only about 30-45 minutes after my regular dose... that's just to lesson the impact of all 600 mgs hitting at once. (And I can feel it hit about 1.5-2 hours after dose). I eat really slowly, so sometimes just the length of a meal is all the time in between the 40 mg and other 200 mg tablet. Sometimes only 20 minutes, but it makes a difference.

I agree. Never ever break a pill up. Mine is 100g per day. 600 am and 400 pm.
Have I had sides: Yes. I think with RIBA they are unavoidable it is just worse with some than others. For me lack of concentration is the worse part. I can be in mid sentence and go silent with no clue what I was talking about. Lol. Old timers disease. Lol

Ribasphere pack comes with each day's dose in a bubble, clearly marked A.M and P.M.

Warrior, I will be on 12 weeks of treatment. RIBA/ sovaldi. Geno 2b. First and I plan on last time treating. ;)

My Ribasphere came in a bottle of 168 pills. 200 mg each.

Started on 1200mg, 600 morning and 600 night.
Problems with hemo, Rbc, he cut me to SOV and 1 200mg Riba
in morning and 2 200mg Riba at evening.

I used to take 2 Riba and then wait at least 1/2 hour before the 3rd' Riba - IT DOES MAKE DIFFERENCE>

For me, The SOV hits me about 4-5 hours after taking it...If I have
stress in the day - it hits me hard.....Trying to just ignore everything and leave it in God's hands.....I have to work on myself.

So glad weather is nicer now, if not I would be depressed for sure!!

It has only been two years ago since I took RIBA, but I don't remember what or when I took it. Scary.
