Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

I was saddened to learn of Hank's passing. Henry always fought the bravest fight.
He was an absolute rock back in the days I was actively battling hep C and I recall many interesting times while locked into the daily drama of tx, relapse, nonresponse, side effects, in short, the pleasures and the horrors of those memorable times we shared together. Henry will live on as an absolutely unforgetable character who made life better. Thank you, Ptriss, for posting.
