Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I am also in my 22nd week with victrelis as my atom bomb. my best understanding for the dr.'s choice was that I was a previous partial responder on SOC and have cirrhosis as well.
I must say my CBC's weren't great to start out, but now I'm being hopeful to be able to go another 24 weeks of tx, providing I'm still undie , at 24 week VL
I've been reduced to 400 mg of riba and 135 mc of peg, .
I've been on procrit and neupogen since week 4 and still struggling with low platelets, 23 and HGB, 8.5 and RBC at 2.6.
I had an AFP, tumor marker test done on the 15th, waiting for results
