Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

I would call the Dr asap and double check that this is the protocol they suggest, AND in addition to this; I would call the hotline at the Interferon manufacturer asap and inquire from one of the nurses on staff as to what they suggest...
For example.....The nurses at gennentech, (pegasys) suggested that I change my Riba dosage due to insomnia, and my Dr was unaware of this with Incivek triple therapy..... the nurses at the companies sometimes know more than we believe they do.....
