I live in Canada and I've been getting Eprex injections to build up my hemoglobin., I became very anemic after a few weeks on treatment., I'm wondering if these two drugs do the same thing but just different brand names considering different countries? It's working anyways. No one suggested a blood transfusion to me. Eprex is quite expensive but our health care provides for my treatment. The cost is about $1200.00 for 4 injections. Two weeks supply for me as I get two of these injections weekly. I'm undie at 11 weeks so something's working. yay!!
Transfusion is my only option because I had breast cancer last year. I believe both of those drugs are about the same. They are homones or at least act like hormones and that's why I can't have them. My tumor was hormone fed.
