Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Most of you know Mesadarlene, one of our member who as been with us for quite sometime now.
Well Mesadarlene had completed her 48 week treatment 6 months ago, and went for her 6 month post treatment PCR test, and it came back, undetected.
So yet another type 1 clearing the dragon for good.
Congratulation in order for our Poster Warrior Women of the year 2008-09.
I am so very proud of you Darlene, for keep on keep on friend.
You show us that there is hope for us type 1.
