Congrats on being virus free. I think it may be normal side effects, but mention it to your doc, as there is probably something he can prescribe. Hope you feel better soon.

My aches and joint pain would come and go...it was not predictable at all. It did seem to get a bit better the farther down the road on tx. Are you keeping up on taking tylenol or advil? I just took that 3-4 times aday and it kept the aches and pains to a minimum. Check with your doc on what kind you can take and how much. I know I had limits, and some docs only say tylenol, while others will say advil is okay. Either way, take it every 6 hours or so...you will knock the aches and pains out, or at least lessen them greatly.

Yep, those aches and pains are normal. I think they were the worst side for me as it was impossible to get comfortable. They do go away once you stop tx, after a week or so...

it was normal for me, i ached all the time. congrats on making it to week 28. your on the downhill side now.

Yeah, mine come and go, someday's I feel great then I have other's where I feel, like death is looming over me. lol! Take care and try to relax as much as possible and keep yourself hydrated.

Yes, it was normal for me too. It is freezing cold here too now, which makes it ten times worse! After tx, it gets much better, but age takes its toll as well......Congrats on the non-detectable!! I'm so happy for you! Cathie

oh yes, achyness and joint pain are my number one complaint. Those seem to be the only two things that havent gone away as my tx has progressed. Ive stopped the rigors, vomiting, fevers, etc.. but all of those i could handle! Its the pain when i move that bugs me!

so, needless to say, I know how you feel, and yes its completely normal.

I have heard some people say that they didnt get sides until late in tx instead of the beginning. But let doctor know just in case ,barb

to all, poor djharg is one of those that his medical providers will not give him anything for the pain. not that i wish hepc on his doctors, but i sure wish they could understand just what djharg must endure for no good reason.

Now as for the aches and pains, well my friend, unfortunately the interferon as a bad reputation about giving a patient all of those aches and pains.

Hopefully post treatment, you will come back to normal, but so you know some don't.

I had bad joint pain too. Nothing worked, then Doc told me to try vitamin B complex it worked immediatly and has been for 10 weeks so far. Good luck and hang in there.

oh ya those aches and pains are very normal...i get them often. A nice warm bubble bath helps easy the pain (you being a guy and all might want to skip the bubbles) I also found the warm bath relieves my headaches somewhat. Water is a marvalous thing! Not only to drink but to relax your whole body in...it seems to wash away my pains.

i think the aches and pains are normal as i seem to have them off and on, off and on. i'm never like i was before treatment. besides the aches and pains i get nausea and itchy.

it's alwys good to let your doctor know how you're feeling. just in case.
