I am 1/2 way thru treatment and my side effects cause me pain on a daily basis. I read your profile and see u havent started tx yet. My pain is from the medicine for hep cuz I didnt have it before tx. I will keep u in my prayers cuz pain flat out sucks the life out of u!!!
hope your tx works and helps with your pain tho. sorry you are going through it with the sides. hang in there ok and keep smiling:)
have a good weekend
As you know I am not on treatment yet either, and I am fed up everytime I read things about Hep c, I feel like I'm odd, or it's all in my head, as it always says - most people don't suffer any symptoms..... If they read on places like this they would see that's just not true, most people have got at least one symptom from it!
Hope you are feeling better, and not in so much pain really soon xx
Dave, thank you too. my liver and spleen are also v enlarged and they are solid. not having felt anyone else's tummy with hepc, i presume this is normal. it feels like i have a rugby ball made of rock in there and is usually, as you say, uncomfortable, tender and sore, like its bruised maybe, but the last few days it has been unbearable. i too have a high pain threshold. after having gone through a cesarean section, a sterilization and a hernia repair with an anaesthetic that didnt work and i felt everything, i think i might safely say that, yeah, i have a high threshold. lol
joan, thanks for your kind words. i hope you too get some respite from the pain soon:)
kaz, what can i say? we're in the uk girl! get used to misinformation. they are very few places here that can really put us in the pic of hepc. why are we on DS? cos here they do know about hepc.
anyway guys, i am really sorry you are all going through pain. i aint nice at the best of times. from all of your comments, it does seem like 'pain' with hepc, with or without tx is quite normal. so i guess i'll have to grin and bear it. and after saying all that, i did write an email to my gastro early this morning and was offered an appt for monday, but after reading all this, i declined.
thanks everyone for all your help, support, encouragement, concern and advice. we just gotta get control of this thing, get positive and try to keep smiling.
hope you all have a wonderful weekend:)
