Well first I would inspect the stamps in his passport to see where he may have traveled internationally. Where was his home of origin btw? Ostensibly his wings weren't clipped. Does he have any ties with Spanish speaking relatives or aviary love interests? You know how they tend to flock together. Hmmm so many more questions come to mind.

What dialect was he speaking? Did he lisp his words or sound like a vato parroto? Was he speaking more proper Spanish and in a formal nature. Did he trill his r's? Is he a he or is he a she? Let me call you now to do a little more initial sleuthing.

It spoke with a proper English accent before disappearing.

Prolly had a love affair. You know, 2 birds in paradise. Was prolly fine until things got stale like age old seeds. Prolly felt caged in. Trapped. Needed to spread its wings, not just legs, and fly. Fly like an eagle. Prolly wanted to find its proverbial Blackbeard. Anyway it's home now. Its arms are prolly tired. Needs some rest and can reflect tomorrow from a Birdseye view of things.
