LOL
I wanted to share this and this seemed like an appropriate thread as I didn't want to start a new OT thread just yet. Some of you recall that I went to that movie night party 1.5 weeks ago. The one where I had to turn down homemade delicious sangria and Halloween Jell-O shots as I'm on tx. Anyway it's a changing group that I've met with for 10 years probably for movie night. I was invited to the same guy's Halloween party last Saturday night but I didn't go as it was going to he a drinking costume party -- not fun for me currently. Well this afternoon I ran into the host at the hospital where I worked. The party was ruined as his zombie costume caught on fire. He stopped, dropped and rolled but had to jump in the jacuzzi to extinguish the flames. He has burns all over his body now but was walking around in his gown and bandages with some friends and family. He is in a good facility at least for burn treatment. I often see friends or acquaintances where I work so I try to go visit after or during shifts when I can. Poor guy. Burns are so nasty. He was in good spirits but this will change his life forever. Just saddened by it and had to share. We never know what direction life will take us yet we can always hope for good ones only although that is not usually the case.
Anyway, he lives walking distance so i offered to do dog sitting. there are residents there though that mostly have the dog and live on the property thankfully.
anyway, i think he'll turn out fine. still sinking in and i don't think that it has yet. i'll go visit him tomorrow.
