Bummer to me that the Olympics gets caught up in the political quagmire. Mixed feelings about it personally but mostly for the athletes.

Fuck Putin...what a fuckhead...and it's not like the money from the Olympics will somehow go to the people...probably end up in the hands of a few already wealthy developers...fuck them.

I guess I'm thinking more of boycotts where participation is nixed like back in Moscow and L.A. Anyway whatever happens. Yes Putin is being a fuckhead though. Totes!!

The IOC [International Olympic Committee] is giving an international platform to Putin, Takei said. We need to learn from history. In 1936, the Berlin Olympics happened. Three years before that, Hitler came to power and began this gradual campaign of horror against the Jewish people, and he got legitimacy throughout the world, he got more power, he got that status and thats precisely what were giving Putin with the Olympics being held there.

Yes pardon my confusion. I didn't really read the story but saw an interview with Greg Louganis over the weekend focusing on a boycott, which my ambivalence stemmed from. In fact, this excerpt was lifted from the petition itself:

"It is not fair to ask athletes who have trained so hard to carry the burden of asking them to boycott next year's event. I am calling directly on the International Olympic Committee to move the games from Russia to Vancouver, Canada."

It's the boycott again that bothers me but I reckon this would fix it all. I really should pay more attention when DSing while driving but I was a little buzzed too in my defense and I was also getting a fax at the time and the sun was in my eyes. So read and sign if you're inclined.

Well Kramer Im sorry but 99% info than I want to give the hackers and /or gov out there. I mean I relize that we gave up our rights when we sighed the winn Dixie cards about 15 years ago. Bush gave the gov the permission to watch and or bug anybodys computer and phone and O'Bama done away with it. They can only watch the terrist or killers and such now. At least he did do something right :-) Actually don't really think he has done a bad job this country was a real mess when he first got in. At least it hasn't got any worse.
