The Mayor Annise D. Parker has since backed down after using her position to issue subpoenas to Houston Christian Pastors concerning the surrendering of their sermons for "inspection".
I can see trying to bust haters...but the subpoenas also list
any material mentioning the words "Mayor Annise D. Parker"
Whens the last time a Conservative Mayor raided a gay pride event and slapped them with subpoenas for anti christian material?
Or gay church Pastors for that matter.
If you are comfortable with an elected official flexing their ego like Hitler
did...to silence political opposition... if you think she is a hero...
Then you are in fact a political sheep, feeding on the grass of lies and hypocrisy.

Hey why the comparison with fun Gay Pride events? Oh yeah, I guess abortion as a topic is an even deader horse.
There are also many Gay Christian organizations as well and many gay identified Christians I might add. I'm a Crispin personally. New religion, don't ask. Anyway those two things are not mutually exclusive, antithetical or diametrically opposed. Just sayin.'

Monster. Triss, I believe you havent found anything in
the blue huffingonion because she backed off. Because she was wrong.
This wasnt about the 70+% majority vote against the referendum
or the supposed "discrepancies" That she cited. That was already a done deal. she simply ignored due process, and passed it anyway. (Another less important abuse...bad vote? Recount!!!)
This was her trying to use that law to take away the first amendment rights of Pastors and people that oppose her.
Politically.
Simply put, she made her "name" synonymous with the anti discrimination law, by including her personal name in the list of
illegal content the subpoenas described as being "discrimination".
Honestly, I was shocked that the Huff said zip.... I checked last night. But it figures. The editor was smart to wait. Because the Mayor was wrong to seek out political enemies using the DA and the anti discrimination law the way that she did.

So liar or incompetent, which is it now?
She even threw her pro bono attorneys under the bus, blaming them for sending out the subpoenas. Now the subpoenas have been revised and refiled minus one name and one descriptive word.
Left bias news media are being very cautious and slow to report on this whole thing until "their side" has their ducks in a row.
This kind of political behavior should concern anybody who likes their constitutional rights.
Fun to joke when liberals are the ones being intolerant of our constitution rights. Dont worry, they wont be your rights either
