If you've ever jumped out of a plane before and I've only ever done it once, you get an infinitesimal taste of how frightening that had to have been. OMG it just truly was terrifying as he was getting into position. I remember that first time near the plane door opening. It was terrifying. The free fall was amazing though and like nothing else I had ever experienced or could've been prepared for. I could not imagine doing what he did.

I can't believe he did that! I would have peed myself, pooped myself, threw-up, & probably passed out, just looking out the door! And if I wasn't unconscious from fear, I would have been sobbing and/or screaming!

Like I said, getting out of bed every morning, well for me is an extreme sport :)

Yep Ernie, you are so right. I jumped once and almost had diarrhea!

Above 11,000 feet (up to 14,000), you can't be at that altitude more than 15 minutes without oxygen. Above 14,000, you MUST have a pressurized aircraft and/or oxygen.

He jumped at 128,000 feet! (I jumped at 11,000 and was utterly terrified but would do it again -- maybe.) Can you imagine? He's an ex-paratrooper but still... that's utterly amazing! Stupendous! Collosall!

Mt Everest is 29,000 feet high. People spend several weeks at base camp (18,000 feet) without supplemental oxygen to allow the body time to make extra red blood cells. Some people, but not many, are able to reach the top without oxygen mask. Many have died trying. 128,000? I think thats a near perfect vacuum. If it weren't for the pressure suit it would probably suck your eyeballs out...

Could you imagine that free fall? No tandem jumper there!! Everything I thought I would think on the way down left my memory in the plane. I jumped at 11,000 feet too. I would also "do it again -- maybe."

What in the world do you think about when you're free falling at what must feel like a thousand miles an hour? All I can think of is
'please don't let me die please don't let me die please don't let me die' that is if I could think at all. Pretty sure my brain would freeze up.

You think how effin bitchin' it is that you did it honestly. At that point you're way committed, the jump master instills you with confidence and it's absolutely exhilarating. It was one of the most amazing things I've done. So was parasailing and repelling once. I also jumped off a bit of a cliff into the ocean once. I'm really fairly afraid of heights but have done all those things. Good times.
