Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I never took it for, nor experienced and euphoria from it.
I am no longer having back pain. I am now "tweaked" to have some level of oxy in my system
My Dr. is suggesting even going to 1/2 a pill for a few weeks.
Try weaning off very very slowly over a few weeks and months.
Good luck with it (to think this stuff is legal blows me away).
Someone more qualified can perhaps give you advice.
Hugs, peace and love!
In some ways "I am" in your shoes and in other ways "I used to be" in your shoes. Either way, there are several things that may help. Chronic pain is a hole unto itself. I have been dealing with this crap for nearly ten years. It is life changing to put it mildly. I had a very physical job until I finally gave up and stopped working due largely to the opiates I had to take just to stay on my feet. This was a work related injury. I've been on workers disability and SS disability for 2.5 years now. My neck just keeps getting worse.
I'm a recovering addict with 24 years clean. I was more into coke and stimulants, but I did my share of everything.
In reading your post, my advice would be an old recovery saying: "First things first." Meaning that you need to start with the oxy problem first. Deal with the job, husband and everything else as you can. If you try to tackle them all at once you will surely fail.
You may very well benefit from medically supervised detox to help you get through the early days. I would also suggest finding a local support group for people who have been in your shoes. You are not alone, others have gone through this before. Feel free to ping me if you want to know more of my story.

When you lessen your pain meds, you'll have more energy & feel better about things.
Once you decide how & when to start, determine to stick to it & do it. You do sound motivated enough. I wish you the best Deb.
Weaning...... Weaning...... Weaning..... sugar, cigarettes, all of it. Online shopping? That sounds expensive. How about crossword puzzles, reading, cleaning a closet... ? Something(s) to occupy your mind & hands.
xoxo Debbie

Good luck Debbie my prayers are with you and I hope you chose to seek help. Sending Love and Hugs your way.

This opiate/opioid thing is the biggest racket ever. Back in the day we bought dope on the street. It's amazing how pharma co-opted that market, and create a nation of addicts.
Debbie, I am very sorry and I can certainly relate to addiction issues. I believe there is more than one path to getting off drugs. I've given up many, many things on my own. I never had the luxury of going to rehab. I wanted to once but my insurance didn't cover it and I couldn't afford it.
Wishing you the discipline and determination to get off them...
