If you are hot headed like I am...it's best. That was not an insult to you...it's a statement about me.
I would have gone completely mad if I wouldn't have had anti d's.
If you can find a doc that will prescribe valium...let me know where he/she is at...I need a shit load of it...not to sell...to eat.
I'll stop joshin' you now and tell ya the truth. Yes, it is a good idea to start the anti d's as soon as possible and since every med effects every individual differently...start now and keep a journal of your feelings. Some people do better on some anti'ds and some people do not so well on other anti d's. Get a good hook up with your doc and be very honest about your moods and emotions while you are finding the right anti d for you.
It's your body. Take care of it.
It's your brain. Take care of it.

As for the valium, I'll leave it alone, thats probably how I got into this mess to begin with.
I do think you can be a bit cranky on tx, cuz you don't feel all that well. What you find here is everyone is different, there are no two stories alike. You have to walk circumspectly through this site.....I know it has helped me immensly, but at first, I as a nervous ninny to get my first shot. I kept waiting for all the sides to happen, and after several weeks, I only ever had a few. You will have days you feel like you took a placebo, cuz you feel great, and you will have some days that you are not at your best.,
My nurse who had a foreign accent was telling my husband and I that I might get a bit "beachy". It took us a second to realize she meant bitchy! So I gave my husband permission to say I am beachy if need be. So far, he has not said it. Just be aware of how you are feeling once you start, that is the only way you will know if you need anything to help you. Your doctor can give you stuff to help...but I would wait to see if you need it first...just my thing...don't take any thing unless I absolutely have to. On the other hand, I did have a frustrating day with a laundry basket I kicked down a hallway LOL!
Take Care, and Good Luck
Having a positive attitude, and a warped sense of humor will be a great help!

I do have an rx for xanax but I've only taken a few so far. I really try to be conscious to think before reacting to someone. If I work on that each day it keeps me out of trouble. Good luck!
