Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

Often, when the virus is gone & no longer chewing up the liver, the resilient liver can learn to better function with what's left.
Additionally,
>The liver is the only human internal organ capable of natural regeneration of lost tissue; as little as 25% of a liver can regenerate into a whole liver.[9] Regeneration is very rapid. The liver will return to a normal size in 1 to 2 weeks following the removal of greater than 50% of the liver by mass.<
Also
>However, sometimes the liver gets overwhelmed and can't repair itself completely, especially if it's still under attack from a virus, drug, or alcohol. Scar tissue develops, which becomes difficult to reverse, and can lead to cirrhosis.
Currently, there are anti fibrotic drug trials in progress
As for common sense... I would not know what to take for a headache just based on common sense. I ask my doc now or research the effects of every medication including OTC.
have things changed for you? etc...
