The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

well every one knows how we all find out about Hep C - so I just want to join your group the Shingles Group help me so I am sure this one will also

Also have HTLV and the sympton for that is almost like Hep C. I knew I have this since I was having my own blood when I got my left hip replace.

Ok please tell me what I have to do - I go to the specialist on Tuesday of next week -

At least I know what is wrong with me with all these symptons I've been going though.

So what kind of meds are there? Yes I am reading everything I can put my hands on - is there other places where I can go and get more advice I will willing to take all the advice any one once to give me.

Welcome. You have hit upon a wonderful site. Maybe explain what you have done so far. Did your regular doc diagnose hep c? Do you know which genotype yet? What symptoms are you having? Is it chronic or acute? Have you had liver enzyme labs?

There are some new treatments out there, clinical trials, etc. Your specialist will be able to work with you as to what your most beneficial options are going to be. Plus, we have members who have done tx, are in tx or are waiting for tx....

Welcome to the group, I have found a lot of friends and a lot of support here. Just dig in and read some posts and learn. I hope you have more info soon so you can get into fight mode, you sound like a fighter to me:) :)

Welcome to the group you found a great place with knowledgable people who been through pretty much everything you need answers for. I myself went through tx and cleared the virus but am still suffering from some side effects. If you have any questions post them and you should get your answers. Welcome to the group!

Thank you for welcome me to your group - I know this is a wonderful site - I love all the information I received about Shingles - now Woodweed you wanted to know my symptoms:

Fatigue, joint pain, belly pain - even sick in the stomach all day and night; itchy skin, sore muscles, dark urine and redness on the palms of my hands.

today I am having pain in my right side - is this normal

I don't know most of the answer to your questions but will let you know when I learn more about it - Yes they have done liver enzme labs on me.

jibi88 - haven't done to much of anything yet waiting to see the doctor (specialist)

i also just got diagnosed with hep c..im waiting on labs to see what stage..i have itchy skin pain in right side,blurred vision,really no appetite.very tired joint pain so badly.they tell me no tylenol,is that bad well can do damage i know..i just want to feel better again..i also have fibromialgia...trying to keep myself together..

glad to meet you Joy my name is Jim I have a hep c love group but not vary much action in there. I think everyone is in such bad shape that they think thi=eyndont deserve anyone including myself. HugS
