Take a deep breath. Nothing critical is going to happen. my whites went down to 2.4 and I wasn't even put on neupy. My ANC had dropped down to 725 and I was still able to proceed without rescue drugs. My reds are just a hair lower than yours are now and I'm still not on procrit. Be patiently persistent with your doctors office to find out how he wants to handle things.

I was never given any of the meds for white or red and mine was low to the point I had no hemaglobin, my doc just decreased ribs.

My white count went down to 1.something, I forget, but it went back up too. I didnt have to go on anything for it. Dont worry, just listen to your doc. He or she will advise u as to what is best for u. Remember...drink lots of water!!!

I was put on Neupogen last week due to white went dangerously low. I had my first shot this past Friday and here it is Wednesday and I'm feeling better than the past few days. Just be careful,,,,water,,,water,,,and dont panic. Make your Dr. talk to you. Im praying for you.

I too had low counts and took procrit injections, they KICKED my butt, worse than tx. I think procrit and neopregen are the same basically....?? I'd try to go without more meds if I were you....but I'm not, so talk to your doc and do what you feel is best for yourself. I wish you all the best. xo

Please try drinking as much fluids as possbile, jello, fresh fruit / veggies also the protein ensure or any protein drink . I know how tough it is and how horrible you feel. Approx.3 yrs ago I did go thru treatment with Interferon/rebetol and Pegintron and of course my blood count too went very low. It felt as I was going to die already It was so difficult for me to even stand up. Once I did I was already out of breath and felt so weak..I had family to help but of course they work during the day. You feel so alone and depressed..but there is a light of the end of that dark tunnel you are in right now. It is not going to be like this all the time just take it moment by moment and try your best to set your mind on something more soothing...maybe soft music a cool wash cloth towel on your forhead..I don;t know I hope that you have soemone with you right now,if you don;t , from the bottom of my heart I wish I could be there to help you with what I could. . My Dr. did take me off for approx. 2 week and started me on Procrit..let me tell you I thought I was in heaven I felt sooooooo good and normal but then had to go back into the boxing ring. It at least gave by body a break and got strength back to continue the fight. JUST KEEP IN MIND THIS HORRIBLE FEELING WILL GO AWAY SOON REMEMBER IT;S NOT GOING TO STAY WITH YOU...IT SEEMS THAT IT';S --JUST DUE TO YOUR CELLS BEING SO LOW...however you still need to be very careful with this because what one person body could stand them being so low another may not. If you have to please go to an emergency room...don;t be afraid to do that...I know that I did at least 2x when I felt that bad,...better safe than sorry....please let me know you update.

My white blood count has been down throughout tx 13 weeks...and that is what the medication does so that the immune system lowers and lets the medication kill off the virus.
I have a nurse who calls me whenever I have had blood tests and then she talks to the liver specialist to see what is what.
Do you have a support team? Usually set up through a Medical Specialty clinic from the hospital.
I use sprouts, zinc, blueberries, yogurt to help support my white blood count and immune system, and these foods etc, have actually brought my white blood count up.
Haven't experienced any red blood count being lower so just hoping all works out for you.
