Been on metformin for years (5) Did S.O.C. a little over a year ago. Reached a zero viral load through tx.. 6 weeks after E.O.T. 6 million 8 hundred thousand Viral load.
You tell me...does it work.??
I'm only taking it for my Diabetes now.
Well, if the facts show what they show, then from what you posted, I'd have to be very hesitant to say that it did work for you...
Then again, we don't really know the details of this study and whether or not some of the subjects were on tx or not during the study...
So I really couldn't give you a confident answer backed with factual, empirical data to support it and yet, it may just work for those folks in that study...
All I'm saying fro my own experience is that it didn't work for me and since then, I've been taken off the metaformin and instead am on lantus Solostar pen needle 25 units twice daily with Novalog pen needle as needed if my blood sugar goes over 130 one hour after meals@1 unit then sliding scale if more.
So many drugs... so little time!!!

Actually I should probably apologize for what I posted there. I was kinda just venting about my relapse. I hope that the metformin does work for some people. It sure would be great if it worked for us. I'm lucky in that I don't get those sx's you had from the metformin. Also lucky that I have been able to keep the diabetes under control without insulin.
Best to you on your journey Henry, you are one strong person.

Do you think because of the Metformin I had been on for years, I may have had a boost at the crucial acute phase that had already started? Wow, that could be something that should be looked at...
Thoughts?
