Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
The liver swells (this is MY opinion) and it presses on other things, I could be wrong.
I would freak out every time I felt twinges and anything on the right side. This will come and go for a while yet. Don't panic and you are feeling this - IT IS REAL........All of us feel it, so we are not nuts.
You know your body and he is not the one with Hep C....Finally after 1 year post tx, the movements, twinges, the band, etc are gone!!!
My rash and itching I have now is from the week in the sun in Cancun. Other than that, my rashes and itching disappeared.
Have to be careful in the sun in the future.
You are doing good. Don't let it get you down. The liver might do things while it is healing. I just read my Ultrasound report and I actually heard all the blood flowing through my liver....Those sounds are weird to hear....So shocking....I still have some Fatty LIver and only 1 section the blood flow is a little different, but other than that, from what I could read online, I pray it is better.
I see the Hep Doctor in a couple weeks. I love being online with these doctor's offices as I can read my reports before I see them!!
Well it is good and bad as I sometimes make things worse in my head than they really are from these reports.
Hang in there, I am positive you will be just fine. It took us years to get in this shape, so it will be a while to get back in "normal" shape.
i am able to read my reports online , too, but mine are only viewable to me after the doctor sees it and shares it with me.
i still be able to, though , as there is never enough time during a doctor visit to ask or understand everything......For me, anyway.
my liver doc does not rush me , don't get me wrong. but i always think of more questions after the fact.
even though i do try to make a list ahead of time.
i have experience reading and understanding test results.
when i say experience, i mean my own results !
i have always called myself a medical savant.....which is something i made up. kind of like RainMan, but for medical stuff.
all the people in my immediate family are in the medical field so maybe this is why.
but really i was not overly worried about the liver pain......just curious, really. But your advice is good and hanging in there and being patient while my body works on finding a newer normal , is always a good way to be.
i do have some anxiety now , though.........i should make a new topic for that.
basically , i am not taking the tx anymore/ but still feeling extremely woozy and nauseated.
off to make that a topic !
