Following Johnson & Johnson's (NYSE:JNJ ) approval of Olysio two weeks ago, Gilead Sciences(NASDAQ: GILD ) gained FDA approval for its hepatitis C drug Sovaldi, previously known by its generic name sofosbuvir.

I would like to wait and see how the TTs fare. It was originally said the IL28b status would not affect Incivek response. Wrong!!!
But I think we are within a year of a cure. NIH people told me that I need to go on TX stat, but if my liver is better I would like to wait and see how these new treatments go down. I still have some magazines left to read in the waiting room.
My own doctor told me that if you do not respond to a DAA you need to wait two years before trying a new DAA. Are these new drugs considered DAAs?

So, if we wait and refuse to do some of the new treatments, then the price will go down? OR, is it just because many other companies are coming out with their own that drives the price down?

If you can wait, if you are low fibrotic I'm thinking late 2014 and 2015 will bring on whole new treatments as well. I can't wait too much longer so I will have to move on the first opportunity that makes sense. I I was Stage 1 or even 2 I'd hang back for a bit. It's a personal choice ans as always a gamble.

I'm stage 2-3 in my transplanted liver (at least I was in June), and I'm 1A, TT. But I'm not going to take interferon, period. I'm trying to get into an EbbVee trial in Dallas since I couldn't get into the Gilead trial. If I'm not accepted, I'll just wait and hope I'll be okay until my doctor in Houston will treat me.

I am 1a TT also, makes me most cautious to take the one and only shot at this and fail, unfortunately the option otherwise is extremely uncomfortable. until there is a defined knowledge on whether TT is an issue i am very uncomfortable to move forward and treat
