better safe than sorry! be sure to get the shot, not the nasal thing. the shot is not a live virus.

i never get flu shots. i figure you dn't really know wht's in that needle? really, i'm serious. i think it's better to just eat healthy, take vitamins, think positive thoughts, drink lots of water, etc etc. why have one more thing needle stick unless it's absolutely necessary? i don't trust the medical profession, the drug companies or anyone else making money off sicknesses! i know i sound like a nutter...but you asked...

I get the flu shot every year, as a matter of fact coming up 1rst week in Nov. even though having hepC one feels like having flu anywaz, especially on tx. I can't imagine having the real flu on top of HepC and settling into lungs as sometimes do, so for me I welcome the flu shot vs getting FLU

Why? You're already on antiviral medication and you want to put a virus in your body? Waste of a needle. Besides once a week you give yourself the flu with the shots and you're fine. People do it but it is totally unnecessary while on tx.

I am going to see my doctor and ask her if I should or shouldn't. I see both sides from the people who have responded to your post so I am curious to know what my doc says...although it may be biased responce I get. I will ask for good explanations and proof that it is benificial before getting my shot.

I never got a flu shot until this year when my doc advised me to. Got pneumonia vaccine, too, on doc's advice. I'm told it's perfectly safe, as it's not a live virus.
