itching and no sleep

can someone please explain to me how to stop the itching please. My body is moist and I use cetaphil both lotion and cleanser. But i feel like the itching will tear my skin out. Please help me if you have had it before.

Yes am on tx wk 6. so far this is the only issue i have.

I have not done tx, but you will get some very good answers from those who are or have done it. Please look in past posts as well.
I am so sorry you are having this reaction. Cortizone creme comes to my mind, but I can't remember who posted that.

My husband is going through this too I have mixed hydrocortizone with a good lotion like Eucerin (Calming one) or Curel . I believe Eucerin has a lotion with it in it as well. All found all at Walgreens. He also takes Benadryl before bed and this seems to help greatly. They also sell a product for baths that has oatmeal in it...

Try Sarna lotion it cost a little more but works really well.You can find it at wallgreens.I used it when I was on incivek.It worked really well.

Which treatment are you on?
Have you told your Dr?? It's important.
He or she may be able to help you, there are meds you can take.
Also OTC regular benedryl helps tremendously

Do you have a rash anywhere?
Where is the itch the worst?
Ask you Doc before you do anything else.
I do hope this does subside for you.

Over the counter......Sarna lotion. Helped my itching alot!! Good luck!

um you should not take vistaril and benadryl at the same time they are both antihistamines. why not double up on one or the other?? why mix the 2 ?

Atarax (hydroxizine) is another antihistamine that can help. Antihistamines are also mild sedatives and help with sleep. I also found sarna anti itch lotion effective, it contains a local anesthetic.

I use gold bond lotion and aveeno eczema cream to calm my skin. hope this helps. You could also ask you doc for triamcinalone ointment, it's been a big help in healing the rashes.
