Recovery from treatment can take a long time, a few weeks, maybe months, for some years.
I was told the same thing about iron supplements wouldn't work because it's the meds that caused the anemia in the first place. That our bodies just have to recycle the damaged cells and replace with new ones and how fast your body does that is an individual thing. :::shurgging::::: best just to ask your doc if there's anything you can do.
My PCP just took a Vit D blood test and mine is low, so he recommended VitD3 in 2000 mg a day doses, but I have to get the okay from the HCV doc before I start taking them.
Keep us posted as to what your doc says please.
Take care,
