My insurance company would not approve my last 3 months of Sovaldi. My doctor sent them an appeal and their response was: according to the FDA that Sovaldi and Olysio only needs to be taken for 12 weeks. So they would not approve my last 3 months of Sovaldi. Thanks to Gilead because they stepped in and have me my last 3 months of meds free. I'm on my last month of Tx, I'm still non detectable and hoping I stay that way. I hope this virus never returns. I'm still having issues with ascities, and still having to go for a parasentisis every 2 weeks or every 18 days. I'm praying this will stop one day but I'm really not sure if it ever will. Some people and doctors say it will in time, but I don't know what to expect. I have had 22 parasentisis since October of last year. I hate it, I just hope my liver can heal itself enough for this ascities to stop. If not I'm not sure what can be done next. I've already had a liver transplant and the hep c attacked this new liver even more aggressive than my old liver. Glad they made the Tx available when they did. I'm at Fibrosis 3 and I wonder if that can be reversed in time if my liver starts to heal. Any info on these questions would greatly be appreciated.
