The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

My insurance company sent a letter stating I'm a candidate for a "personal nurse" with Conifer/InfoMed and when I looked them up they seem to be in business to save insurance companies money. I'm not sure they would be in my best interest. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I would accept!
Its nice to have a person to call when issues arise, if it is a licensed practitioner & not just a patient support person.
All business is about money. Those that can meet needs of several interests (investors, share holders, clients) & create a positive public image are successful.

I'd give it a try. I assume you can always say no than you at any point you find it intrusive or unhelpful.

Jaro, I know your skeptism......some get great help and once I tried it for a back pain problem, but that was a bad experience.

Make sure it does not cost you anything to start with - actually since my mind seems to be checking out lately, I don't think I should be commenting on any advice for anyone, sorry....

Thanks for any and all thoughts. I just wanted some input. I'm worried because this nurse would work with my doctor and arrange my testing, etc. I'm thinking she may limit what I need to save money. I'm not going to commit to anything right now until I speak with my doctor and do some more research. Thanks again!

Jaro, my insurance offers this service. They can help arrange transportation to appointments, meals, Household assistance, grocery shoppin!!! etc. 24/7 phone.
I'm going to keep the info in my folder. I'm not sick enough to bother with the service except rare occasions.
If you sign up for it, you don't have to use it., but the records are there when needed.
I just don't like the whole world having access to my information. Oops, too late, isn't it?
