Insurance approves Sofosbuvir + Riba

My insurance approved the new drugs for me, I am so happy. I should receive them sometime next week. Can't wait to start tx and get rid of this virus. I pray it works and the side effects won't be to bad with the Ribavirin.

That's great news. Finally hope for a cure. Keep us posted. I just saw my Dr. today and he is submitting the paperwork for approval for tx. He said there is a weekly shot of interferon. Is it the same for you? There seems to be a few combinations of drugs for tx. How long before your ins approved the tx? I'll be praying for you.

Rygordon, No interferon here and it took 3 weeks for approval after bloodwork. MrOSO, I think my treatment is for 12 weeks. may be 24 but I believe it is for 12 weeks.

Billy, are you still having fluid removed? I had l.9 liters removed last week and 1.8 liters 3 weeks before that. And my belly still is distended and tight. The fluid seems to be getting more frequent.
I'm concerned that Dr. G. won't be able to get me approved without interferon, but I'll see him on Wed. the 22nd. I just not going to take interferon, period.
