Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Americans eat in general far too much sugar, salt and fat, which are healthy in smaller quantities but any excess will strain the liver and other internal organs such as the pancreas.
A well balanced diet will definitely create better health. Doing a low carb high protein diet is just as bad as doing a high carb low protein diet. Eliminating carbs is not the answer, although there are diets out there where you can lose weight by eating only protein and fat, that is very hard on the body. It can cause ketosis and ketoacidosis.

If you know how to read music, you can learn to sing or play an instrument.
If we only knew how to read and comprehend nutrition and food combining and apply it to learn about our bodies and how they function, we'd be so much healthier...
Thanks Kramer. Great info
Keep on punching out these informative posts, it's your trademark!
And we need to read and learn!
I found that while taking the Incevik, if I ate sugar in any great amount, like 1 candy bar, or Little Debbie bun, I would break out in the rash. So I basically went sugarless in almost everything but the peaches. It worked for me and kept the rash at bay.
Eating whatever you can handle the sight, smell and taste of and,
hold down during triple is perfect, IMO.
On week 13 day 1, mostly gluten free and meatless was the first thing on the agenda, and not eaten at 6:30 am lol
Salads were ok and fresh or steamed veggies were on the dinner meal every single nite. Unfort my digestive tract did not agree w the roughage, eating salad alone without a carb just was not enough to absorb the riba /incivek emulsion. I learned to mix it up.
Ending tx, all numbers are normal. Still only use 100% pure Stevia ( sweetleaf) and cane, pure maple or sugar in raw if necessary.
It is true Sugar in excess is awful for the body, even in a healthy condition.
This is an Important topic that does tend to be overlooked.
Great job, IK!
while on Incivek triple therapy is not a good idea, as they counteract the telaprevir meds.
Once Incivek is stopped, and SOC is the only tx used, do what you'd and/or your Dr decide.
I just made a salad w olive oil and lemon for lunch and it's delish! Thx for the suggestion!
