I need DINs

Does anyone have the DINs (Drug Identification Number)for Sovaldi and Olysio? Need them for an American friend. My Canadian numbers would not be the same.

I've got the inserts that came with both, but I don't see a "DINs" number - my Rx number is on there, but that wouldn't be the same thing.

There's an "NDC" # - hmmm, what's that? OOO - I just googled it - it's National Drug Code! I believe we have a winner - well, maybe.

Olysio NDC # 59676
Sovaldi NDC# 61958

Actually, there are more numbers, so maybe you need the whole thing but maybe not.

Olysio: 59676-0225-28
Sovaldi: 61958-1501-01

kramer - just found this, "Each prescription drug intended for human use is assigned a unique 10-digit, 3-segment numerical identifier called a National Drug Code (NDC). The first segment of the NDC, assigned by the FDA, identifies the labeler, product and trade package size."

Okay, but I have 11 numbers there for each one. ?

I figure the "28" at the end of the Olysio one reflects the 28 pills in the script. But the "01" at the end of the Sovaldi one then doesn't make sense.

BOOM - I googled it:

Sovaldi: NDC 61958-1501-1
Olysio: NDC 59676-0225

That's one number short for Oly, though.

Also read: 59676-0225-07 and 59676-0225-28 as Olysio NDC codes.
