As you know I did not get into the AbbVie trial (thanks to everyone who was wishing me good luck).
I believe everything happens for a reason and although the AbbVie regine seems to have very high (greater than 90%) success rates for geno 1, it requires rather complex dosing with four different drugs daily (including ribavirin).
I personally believe that Gilead will get it's highly effective single pill (FDC) of Sofos and Ledis to market in a year. I'm pretty sure I'll be good until then.
Good news for all of us that can wait a little longer!

We will get the treatment that works for us very soon, I'm certain.
I believe the docs involved in trials already have a client list waiting & willing, & thats why trials fill up by the time they are posted.

My doc is involved with trials including gilead & expects one to roll around here this summer. If I meet criteria, I'll be invited. If the conditions are such that I feel it would be better to wait, I will wait, unless he urges me to go for it.

Same happened to me, Kramer. Did not pass the screening for Abbvie's Turquoise II and tried twice. So I had to do what you are doing and BELIEVE that everything happens for a reason. In my case, I don't have cirrhosis, but we didn't know that then... and Turq. is a trial for cirrhotics. I know how devastating this is for you; I've been there. You seem to be handling it better than I did, though. It took me a while to come to the realization that it wasn't meant to be for a REASON. I'm so sorry.

We just have to pray harder for the all oral meds. If Gilead gets there first or someone else, it doesn't matter.

I'm sorry about the news too Kramer. Maybe you all will be the lucky ones to get an easy, effective, all oral treatment in the near future. mewithoutc is also waiting for tx. Hope it's soon everyone.

Thank you Ozzie, Deb, Peaceful and Ernie. Really I'm good. I'll make it and I won't have to give up my MJ ..lol You know how strict trials can be! Like I have been saying all along and day by day I'm being proven to be right .. the drugs will get to market in good time :^)
