Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

this site is completely different and not very user friendly. It used to be very interactive and easy to locate different members and topics. Images could be posted and you could really obtain an insight to other members experiences. Anyway, I am hepC 1a viral load 5 million and just been prescribed Harvoni. I wanted to share treatment notes, but this site is hard to understand. It used to be a great website

I presume the admin must have changed and downgraded the web construction. That is sad, I had lots of friends online here, but there is not much activity now. I have an iPad and iPhone so maybe it's not compatible. Sorry to hear of a couple of posters passing away, and new people trying to get info will have a hard time relating to this site. It really used to be a great support group here, I was hoping to reach out again to the community with this disease. I can't even figure out how to upload an image. Well, I will check back again to see if I missed anything. Suggestions are appreciated, take care, dear readers.

Well, (sound of creaking door and crickets), as stated earlier this used to be a great support group. The format was easy, interactive, great virtual meetings. Not so anymore. Hope all of the old gang is having a great and healthy life, and new people checking in, maybe you can find something of use here. I did not. Will not be back. I will try to find support groups elsewhere. Thanks for reading. So long.(close door)

Hi Nickey,
I hear you!! I haven't been on here for a few years now and wow what a change. The old page was much easier. I have no idea if there are old friends here. I used to go as Best Shot back in the day. That was around 2011-12. When I was cleared of hep c I had a hard time coming back to the sight. Not sure why. But my curiosity got the best of me and here I am. Hopefully you come back just one more time and see there's still someone who cares.

Back to Harvoni, I am/was genotype 1a for hep c and completed 6 months of treatment with Harvoni a year ago. Short story is the wonder drug worked! Twice before I completed 17 weeks of pegelated interferon and ribaviron and once with insevek (protease inhibitor). Any questions? Please ask. I am happy to help in any way I can....

It’s hard to believe what we had here on DS 10 years ago compared to this pallid imposter of a support site-
If you didn’t experience it I’d be hardpressed to explain it to you.
