Congrats on getting approved and good luck with it
Only issue I ran into -- prescription company was great, but the doctor's office needed calls to ensure they were sending prescription, refills, etc. was disappointed in the doctor's office.
I am on week 9 also. I take mine in the morning and keep track by writing it down. I figure if I miss my pill, at least I have time to take it later that day. I would assume it's best to take it at the same time each day but I am sure there is room for forgiveness. I take taken it up to 2 hours before/after last pill but usually on time.
I have not had any side effects except a slight headache also if I don't eat. I started Ribavirin at week 6 and don't have any sides with that either except sometimes a bit short of breath when I climb the stairs.
Good luck - keep us posted !!
I took Nexium (they said it was ok if you take it at the same time as Harvoni), and my 4 week labs came back at 250 instead of under 15. It could have been because of that or because I have a resistance from prior treatment. You have to be really careful with anything that reduces stomach acid because this drug needs an acidic environment.
Jb.
Doesn't matter if you take with or without food. I take it without food and drink a whole glass of water with it, then roll on my right side and go back to sleep. I figure that gets it out of the stomach quicker as the exit is on the bottom.
The only supps I am taking are a good multi in a capsule, one twice a day. Jarrow Bone-Up with calcium. Vitamin D as I was on the low side last lab. Probiotics. Occasionally some vitamin C, but limit to 2 grams at any time, and 4 grams a day. Biotin twice a week. I took a few doses of Lysine for a cold sore last week.
I'm still taking spirulina and chlorella and lecithin in my smoothies, as they are foods, not supplements. And still doing mini coffee treatments. Probably 2-3 times a week, just 6 - 8 oz.
I'm watching The Truth about Cancer. It's running the next 11 days.
I just read that estrogen inhibits the production of HCV virions. No wonder I got sick when menopause hit. LOL
