The law firm took the Canadian Govt to court and won in 2006 on our behalf and the Can, Govt. started paying me a small amount of money as a death benefit from my deceased partner who died in 1993.
The law firm of course made millions from all the participants but because of their battle I do get a small monthly cheque whereas I got nothing before. So I am good with it.
There's always the argument that liability contributes to the expense of health care. That needs to be considered too.
