The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. I had the 4 week labs taken today for CBC and Viral Load. The VL might be back by Friday. I'll post when I know the results. My doctor's appt. is Monday.

By the way, my two week labs were just CBC. I have had problems with low platelets for sometime and every time I had the CBC, they went down some. Pre treatment, they were 89 out of a normal range of 150-400. After two weeks on treatment, they were 101!!!

I'm still waiting...it's been 5 days since the blood work.....dang it I don't like it.....the suspense is killing me....LOL!!

I'm hoping I get notified today results of my 4 week VL and will keep you posted.

I received the results today. My VL after 4 weeks is less than 15. I started with over 2 million. My doctor's appt. is Monday. What does less than 15 mean??? I think I saw something about that here at DS and that it is too low to give a number but the HCV is still detected.

It's been 4 weeks and results are back and still detectable at 30. All CBC; ALT; AST, etc. normal. Started out at 2 million so I can't complain. Expect to be UD at next blood test.
